The economic engine for any community and airport is supporting infrastructure and successful Industrial Parks. Located on the East Side of the Raleigh County Memorial Airport is 214 acres of developed land, home to a diversified businesses community supporting the Engineering, Electronics, Coal, and Timber Industries, Light Manufacturing, and several service industries. This park, nearing 90% of its capacity has been quite successful in the contribution to the job market and industries it suports for the County and Southern West Virginia.
As the growth of the East side park continued, development plans were also under way for an additional Industrial Park on the West Side of the Airport opening up 300 acres of select land adjacent to the Airport. In March 2005 construction started on Phase I and II of the new Park.
Raw virgin land was developed into beautiful site- ready parcels of property ranging from 2, to 30 acres. With all utilities and access roads in place this park is the future location of Physicans Clinic with Health Spa, a Child Development Center, (and under contract a) Hydraulic Rebuild Complex.
These two Industrial Parks are complimented by a fully functional FAA approved Part 139 Airport sitting between the Parks with runway access from the Southwest portion of the new development. This area opens 125 acres of excellent aviation opportunities.
The Airport, both Parks, and the ammenities they offer are 1 1/2 miles from I-64, and 5 miles from I-77.
Serving the North and South corridor of the East Coast with an available work-force, affordable housing, and year round family entertainment.
